Skin Disease Diagnosis

Skin disease diagnosis is the core skill of a dermatologist. Skin disease diagnosis includes diseases of the skin, hair, nail and mucous membrane. Dermatology has more potential diagnosis than any other field of medicine and is the biggest organ in the body.

Dermatology is a visual subject. Proficiency requires detailed academic knowledge combined with years of practical experience and tutoring in an academic department.

To qualify as a dermatologist the average doctor will spend 6 years in medical school, work a few years as a doctor and then spend 4 years specialising in dermatology.
